No matter what brings you to this side of Phoenix – whether you’re a Peoria local or heading in from another Arizona community – we’re more than happy to welcome you to pull up a chair and enjoy one of the famous Sardella’s pizza pies. With just a quick drive on the Loop 101, it’s easy to get to this part of the Valley from just about anywhere in the Phoenix metro area. Our Peoria restaurant is conveniently located at the intersection of 83rd Avenue and Lake Pleasant Parkway, where we’re part of the Fletcher Heights Marketplace.
When you stop by our North Peoria location, you already know that you’re going to be getting the best pizza in Phoenix – but did you know there’s plenty more in the community for locals to be proud of? Here are just a few highlights of North Peoria that make us glad to call this community our home.
Sunrise Mountain High School
Sunrise Mountain High School is one of the best schools in Phoenix, offering students a diverse range of opportunities to learn and grow. Students and their parents enjoy the benefit of a variety of award-winning career and technical education programs, the accelerated University High Choice Program, and of course, plenty of extracurricular activities and winning sports teams – go Mustangs!
When Sunrise Mountain High students aren’t busy excelling in the classroom and on the field, you can often find them hanging out at Sardella’s Pizza. We’re always happy to welcome students and families in for a casual slice during lunch, a Friday night dinner before the big game, or a weekend celebration with friends.
Thunderbird Conservation Park
When visitors think of Peoria, they often envision its bustling shopping centers and friendly neighborhoods, but the city is also home to some of the best nature parks and hiking trails in Phoenix. Thunderbird Conservation Park is a popular destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, stretching over more than 1,100 acres in the Hedgpeth Hills. It’s an excellent place to take in the natural beauty of the Arizona desert, and you might even spot some local wildlife.
The park offers more than 15 miles of trails, including options for both beginner and advanced hikers, giving you plenty of opportunity for getting in touch with nature and taking in incredible views of the city below. In addition to hiking, other available activities at Thunderbird Conservation Park include horseback riding, biking, and picnicking. After an active day outdoors, you know you’ll be hungry – luckily, Sardella’s Pizza Peoria location is just a few minutes away.
Fletcher Heights Community
Fletcher Heights is one of Peoria’s most sought-after neighborhoods, boasting a convenient spot near the Loop 101, great community amenities, and of course, their very own Sardella’s Pizza location. It’s among the largest communities in Peoria, with about 2,000 families calling the area home. One of the biggest benefits of being a Fletcher Heights resident is having easy access to many of the best shops and restaurants in Phoenix, which you can explore by driving, walking, or even biking around the area.
With a number of greenbelts and community parks, Fletcher Heights offers up plenty of great outdoor spaces to relax with takeout pizza and wings from Sardella’s. If you live in the community, you could always bring your lunch or dinner back to your house – but why not enjoy a picnic-style meal instead? There are several ramadas and picnic tables throughout the neighborhood, plus many shaded playgrounds and sporting courts, so you can make pizza night at the park a family event.
