Sardella’s Pizza wants to invite you to join us for pizza, wings and wine at one of our three locations. We have a wide selection of both red and white wines available at our 19th Ave, 43rd Ave and 83rd Ave restaurants for you to enjoy. Our 83rd Ave location in Peoria will also feature great live music on the patio from acoustic guitarist George Mixis every Saturday afternoon from 4:30-7:30pm throughout 2016 (excluding April 30 and June 11). When the weather turns warmer, the music moves indoors. There will be no live music on May 7th, but starting May 14th, George will be playing from 5-8pm all Summer long.
Here is a preview of the great wine selections available at three of our locations for your relaxing night out:
White Wines
A combination of subtle rose and mint flavors with the light tangy taste of orange peel and pineapple, Washington Hills Riesling comes highly recommended by wine enthusiasts across the board including winning several awards from international tasting panels and wine competitions.
Hess Select’s Monterey Chardonnay combines bright tropical fruits with modest apple flavors to create a flavor profile that grabs your attention and then smooths out over time. It pairs perfectly with the zesty Italian flavors in many of Sardella’s dishes.
The Santa Ema Select Terroir Sauvignon Blanc is another citrus flavor on Sardella’s white wine list, bringing together apples, pears and other acidic fruits. It is a great contrast to the mild cheeses featured at Sardella’s.
Caposaldo’s Pino Grigio Veneto IGT is a dry white wine that prominently displays the natural flavor of the grapes with just a hint of almond in the background. It makes an excellent addition to any pasta dish.
Red Wines
On the red side of the wine aisle, the Pennywise Cabernet Sauvignon is a dark and sultry mix of cherries, black raspberries, pomegranates and herbs. There are layers and layers of complexity in the flavor that compliment any rich Sardella’s meal.
Montpellier’s Pinot Noir is a great choice to go with your pasta. It features a rich combination of fruits, chocolates and nuts in a dry but fruity profile.
The Dona Paula Seleccion de Bodega Malbec is another velvety dark red wine that brings berries, cherries and spices together for a long-lasting flavor. Try it alongside any chicken dish.
Charles Smith’s The Velvet Devil Merlot is a unique entry in the red wine category that adds just a touch of rich tobacco to the cherries and spices. Paired with pork, this wine is a strong competitor among wine enthusiasts.
